Rose's Bar and Grill of Pelican, Alaska

If you get up on the bar and write your name on the ceiling, Rose, the 80 year old proprietor of this establishment will pull your pants down.

    I spent six months there in 1982. A year that the long time locals will remember as a tough one. Some of my fondest memories and best friends came from that time and place. It is still a wonderful place, and worth spending some time in.
